A Trip of Gokyo Valley

Being in the travel trade for a long time, going to the Everest region was my unfulfilled dream. One of my colleagues who is also in travel business also had the similar feeling and one day both of us decided to go together towards that region. As the flight was not confirmed we did not make any preparations. In the afternoon, we got the message from the airlines that our seats were confirmed. We packed only a few basic things such as warm clothes, sunglass, gloves and toileteries and took the flight and landed at Lukla airport (2804m). Landing at Lukla was also a wonderful experience and we must salute the brave and experienced pilots for the flight. More..

It was only in 1977 that Michung Gurung, the first hotelier of Manang realized the potential of Manang to be the tourist destination and came out with a plan to literally open a hotel for tourists with a name Tshering Dolma Hotel.
